The organisers, British Marine Federation, have today announced that the show is to be totally re-vamped/re-designed for 2018, with the most significant change being the reduction to a 5 day show. The dates have been set as 10th to 14th January 2018.
The main changes are as follows:
1. Five days
The Show will now be a five-day event, Wednesday to Sunday, starting on 10 January in 2018. With a start date further away from Christmas and New Year, the event will offer brands five days packed with business opportunities, networking and active quality visitors.
2. Shows within a Show
Introducing complementary Shows alongside the world-famous London Boat Show will not only give the entire event broader marketing appeal but will also drive new visitors and therefore new customers.
3. The Boating & Watersports Holiday Show
This all-new live Show will take advantage of the prime holiday booking period and is designed to ensure your brand will benefit at this key time. Complete with its own high profile marketing campaign and live experiences to get visitors into the holiday spirit.
4. Significant investment in marketing
More will be done to promote the Show to boaters as well as driving a new relevant audience. A fully integrated marketing communications campaign will use the latest digital targeting techniques complementing broadcast media and traditional page media.
5. A new look and new layout
The boats remain the stars of the Show so the London Boat Show will be flanked by the two new events. Pockets of interactive entertainment, themed catering and seating will be throughout creating a vibrant atmosphere.
